New Delhi. Today in the capital Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) took part in the opening program of the Global Millets Conference at Subramanian Hall. On the other hand, the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and his counterparts from six countries also participated in this special occasion. Addressing the programme, PM Modi said that I am proud that India is leading the ‘International Year of Millet’. Millet is a boon for farmers today.

Today, at this event, he said, “Today is the launch of millet, whenever there was any question on the issue of millet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would guide us with great enthusiasm, and as a result, this program is reaching heights.” And today, during this special program, a video about Millets was also released.
PM Modi praised small farmers
Along with this, at the inaugural program of the Global Millets (Shri Anna) Conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today, “Such events are not only necessary for Global Good but also a symbol of India’s growing responsibility in the Global Good. Shri Anna means congratulations from the tribal society of the country. Shri Anna means chemical free agriculture. We work day and night to make Shree Anna a global movement. Millet is mainly grown here. Millet’s caffeine is visible everywhere. Most of the farmers who grow Shri Anna are small farmers.

Prime Minister Modi also said that “many countries are associated with the Millets Conference. Many new companies have also started in the country regarding millet. It is prominently grown in many states. He said: “The United Nations has declared 2023 as the International Year of Millet only after India’s proposal and efforts. India leads the campaign as the world celebrates the International Year of Millet. The Global Millets Conference is an important step in this direction.
