The model is built on the robust IMV ladder-on-frame chassis, which is also the basis for the Fortuner and Innova Crysta.
The ex-showroom price of the SUV now starts from Rs.30.40 lakhs. Toyota Hilux was launched in India last year with a starting price of Rs.33.99 Lakh. This means that the Hilux has now become cheaper by Rs 3.6 lakh. However, the price drop has been done on the base variant only, while the prices of the high-spec variants have been increased.

These models got expensive
The manual Toyota Hilux High has now become more expensive by Rs 1.35 lakh and now costs Rs 37.15 lakh while the Hilux High AT has increased by Rs 1.10 lakh and can be bought for Rs 37.90 lakh . All prices are ex-showroom. Reservations for the second batch of Hilux opened earlier this year in India at the above prices.
