NH-344M will serve as an additional Western Ring Road
NH-344M (Package 1-3) will serve as an additional Western Ring Road in Delhi, reducing travel time to Indira Gandhi International Airport from 2 hours to 20 minutes. This will provide an alternative route for traffic heading west/south from Delhi and Gurgaon to N-44, Chandigarh, Punjab and J&K. It also connects with the proposed IICC at Dwarka, which will improve traffic in Delhi.
Rs 60,000 crore project implemented to reduce pollution in Delhi
Gadkari also said that repair work is being carried out on the Delhi-Jaipur section of National Highway 8. The minister said that as far as Delhi is concerned, projects worth Rs 60,000 crore are being implemented to reduce pollution from the air in the national capital. He said there is also a plan to have a separate lane for electric trucks and buses on the Delhi-Jaipur section of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway.
