New Delhi. SUVs are selling like hot cakes in India. Sports utility vehicles have always been appreciated for their attractive looks and off-road capabilities. Currently, buyers have ‘n’ options in the SUV segment at different price ranges. Speaking of 7-seater SUVs, Mahindra’s Bolero, Scorpio and XUV700 dominate the sales charts, followed by Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai Alcazar. Here are 5 best-selling 7-seater SUVs in India with prices and key specifications.

Mahindra Bolero
In February 2023, the national automaker Mahindra managed to sell 9,782 units of the Bolero, up from 11,045 units in the same month last year. Its sales registered a drop of 11 percent. Under the hood, the Bolero is powered by a 1.5L diesel engine producing 75bhp of peak power and 210Nm of torque. Mahindra Bolero Neo comes with a 1.5L diesel engine that is good for 100bhp and 240Nm. The transmission on offer is a 5-speed manual unit. The price of Bolero starts at Rs. 9.78 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 10.79 lakhs. The 7-seater Bolero Neo is currently available within the price range of Rs 9.63 Lakh to Rs 12.14 Lakh.

mahindra scorpio
A total of 6,950 Mahindra Scorpio units were sold last month against 2,610 units in February 2022, registering a growth of 166 percent. The Scorpio N is offered with 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines generating 132bhp/300Nm and 175bhp/370Nm (MT)/400Nm (AT) respectively. The petrol unit makes 203bhp and 370Nm(MT)/380Nm(AT) of power. Scorpio Classic draws power from the 2.2L Gen 2 mHawk diesel engine offering 132bhp and 300Nm. While the Mahindra Scorpio N is priced at Rs 12.74 Lakh to Rs 24.05 Lakh, the Scorpio Classic is priced at Rs 12.64 Lakh to Rs 16.14 Lakh.

Mahindra XUV700
Mahindra’s flagship SUV, the XUV700, recorded total sales of 4,505 units in February 2023, up from 4,138 units in the same month last year. SUV sales posted growth of 9 percent. Engine options in the Mahindra XUV700 include a 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel offering 200bhp with 380Nm and 155bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450 (AT) with 360Nm/185bhp respectively. Currently, the SUV model lineup falls within the price range of Rs 13.45 lakh to Rs 25.48 lakh.
