TRAI will block the 10-digit number: TRAI, that is, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, has made a very important decision. With this TRAI decision, telemarketing companies are going to take a big hit. According to a report, TRAI will now crack down on those promotional messages that send calls or messages to mobile users without their consent. TRAI has made it clear to telecommunication companies that they should not use unregistered numbers for promotion. Now TRAI has taken a hard line on this.
Let us tell you that for telemarketing companies they are given a special number which is slightly different from the normal number. Telecommunication companies obtain special numbers for promotional calls so that mobile users can understand the difference between regular calls and promotional calls. However, ignoring the rules, many companies are calling mobile users only from the normal 10-digit number.
TRAI took strict measures
TRAI has now become strict against this step of harassing mobile users with forceful calls or messages. TRAI has issued an order for telemarketers to discontinue normal 10-digit numbers for calls or promotional messages within 30 days. Despite this, if someone uses the normal number for promotional calls, strict measures will be taken.
The number will close within 30 days.
TRAI has notified all telecommunications companies and instructions have been given within 30 days to stop the use of unregistered numbers for promotional calls. If you use any normal number for promotion, stop doing it immediately, otherwise strict action may be taken against you.
