The end of the week was very auspicious for the stock market. On Friday once again the market closed at the green mark. Sensex and Nifty shares were showing a boom since this morning. The Sensex saw a rise for the second day in a row today. When the market closed, the Sensex was up 355 points. While Nifty closed at 17,100. In today’s trading, Reliance Infra gained 6%, HCL Tech gained 4%. Speaking of today’s biggest gainer, Jubilant Farmova was the biggest gainer and gained 12.54%. Other than this, JK Paper’s stake closed at 9.94%, JBM Auto’s stake at 9.61%, Kalyan Jewelers’ stake at 9.58% and HLE Glasscoat’s stake at 8.41%.
Gains were mainly posted on Friday in IT, financials and metals stocks. HCL Technologies, Hindalco Industries, UPL, UltraTech Cement and Nestlé India were the biggest winners from Nifty, while Eicher Motors, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, ITC and Asian Paints were the biggest losers. With the exception of Auto, Pharma and FMCG, all sector indices closed with gains.
Sensex top 30
Earlier on Friday, the last trading day of the week, the stock market started strong. The Indian stock market started to fly as soon as it opened thanks to the big buys in the US market, the boom in the European and Asian markets. Because of this, the BSE Sensex jumped 443.27 points to open at 58,078.11 points, while the Nifty rose 147.80 points to reach 17,133.40 points.
