New Delhi. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the IT services company of the Tata Group, is the second most valuable company in the country. Now the command of this company is going to be in new hands. Actually, TCS CEO and MD Rajesh Gopinathan has resigned from his position. After his resignation, at the meeting of the company’s Board of Directors on March 16, K Keerthivasan has been elected as the next CEO and Chief Executive Officer. Keerthivasan is not new to the company, he has been working in this company for more than 34 years. In his long career, he has handled many important responsibilities. Especially in the BFSI segment of TCS, he has played a very important role.

Gopinathan stepped down after a 22-year career with the company. Rajesh was one of the highest paid CEOs in the country. He has spent six years as the company’s Managing Director and CEO. Rajesh Gopinathan said in his statement that the 22-year journey with TCS has been very exciting. He said that the experience of working with N Chandrasekaran has been very pleasant.

K Krithivasan joined the company in 1989 from TCS. In his career, he has been responsible for delivery, sales, and many senior management positions within the company. During his tenure at TCS, K Keerthivasan has held many important responsibilities. He previously worked at TCS as global director of banking and financial services. Keerthivasan has been working in the global technology sector for the last 34 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Madras University and a master’s degree in industrial engineering and management from IIT Kanpur.
Important role in company profits
It has played a significant role in the company’s earnings from TCS’s BFSI segment. Keerthivasan has been responsible for delivery, customer relationship management, program management and sales at TCS. In a way, Kirtivasan’s entire career so far has been spent on TCS. Kirtivasan has been contributing 35-40% of TCS’s profits coming from the BFSI segment. Prior to K Kirtivasan, Rajesh Gopinathan has held the position of CEO of TCS since 2013. Gopinathan has been associated with the company for the past 22 years. He did his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Ahmedabad. Gopinath has been associated with TCS since 2001. BSc in Electronic Engineering from REC Trichurpalli.
