Delhi: There is good news for more than 12 crore of farmers in the country. The Center’s Modi Govt will award the 13th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Nidhi) scheme on 24th February. This amount is likely to reach your account after the next three days. The Central Government had initiated PM Kisan Yojana by presenting the provisional budget for 2019 (Union Budget 2023). Under this scheme, farmers receive a payment of Rs 2,000 in three installments every year. Consequently, the farmers earn a total of six thousand rupees in a year. The 12th installment of PM Kisan Yojana was released on October 17, 2022.
More than 12 million registered farmers
Around 8 crore farmers received Rs 16 crore at that time. Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar had briefed Parliament on the beneficiaries of the scheme during the budget session last week. At the beginning of 2019, the number of beneficiaries under this scheme was Rs 3.16 crore, which increased to Rs 10.45 crore by mid-2022. More than 12 million farmers are enrolled in PM Kisan Yojana. It is mandatory for all recipients to eKYC their accounts to get quota 13. E-KYC has been made mandatory to avail PM Kisan Yojana.
