New Delhi. The country’s first fast train is expected to start next month. The construction of the 82 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) corridor is in full swing. The first express train will cover the 17 km long section between Sahibabad and Duhai. RRTS stations are being built in such a way that passengers can take other modes of transportation without leaving the station. Four stations of the Delhi-Meerut route are being connected with all the nearby metro stations. In such a situation, passengers will be able to go to the nearest metro station without leaving the RRTS stations.
Apart from the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, the RRTS Delhi-Gurgaon-SNB-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat corridors will also be built. Some stations in these corridors will also be connected to metro stations. Four stations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, namely Sarai Kale Khan, New Ashok Nagar, Anand Vihar and Ghaziabad, will be connected to the nearest Delhi Metro stations.

These 4 stations will be connected
The Sarai Kale Khan RRTS station will be connected to the Pink Line Metro Station and the New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station to the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro. The RRTS station at Anand Vihar will be connected to the pink and blue metro lines. The Ghaziabad Express Rail Station will be connected to the Red Line of the Delhi Metro.

The connectivity of the RRTS and metro stations will greatly benefit the passengers. Blue Metro will be available only at New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. With this it will be easy to reach Delhi and Noida. The blue and pink lines will be available at Anand Vihar. With this, you can easily reach South Delhi and AIIMS. Passengers will also be able to take the Blue Line from here. Passengers will also benefit from connecting to the nearby Sarai Kale Khan metro station.
Rapid Rail may be running next month
The construction of the 82 km long RRTS Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor is in full swing. In the first phase of this corridor, the express train between Sahibabad and Duhai is expected to be operational in April 2023. This project is expected to be completed in 2025. Similarly, the 198 km Delhi-Gurugram-SNB- corridor RTS’s Alwar will be built in three phases. Starting in a northwesterly direction from Delhi, the 103 km long RRTS Delhi-Panipat corridor with 17 stations will connect the capital with cities like Murthal, Gannaur, Samalkha and Panipat in Haryana.
