New Delhi. French automaker Renault launched the Duster in 2012, one of the most compact SUVs in the country. This model became an instant hit. However, after years of stability, the model was discontinued. It was believed that he could return. Now recently it was reported that the model could be relaunched and would be based on the new Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform. Just a few days ago, a test mule of the Duster replacement was spotted in Spain.
The photos of the Duster were shared on a Spanish forum and the photos were taken from another moving car. There are two images showing the new Duster completely camouflaged. The first image shows the SUV’s side profile and we can see that it will have a massive presence on the road. The test mule looks a lot like the Bigster SUV concept and we can see those signature LED DRLs up front. The design of the SUV is boxy.
rear look
The second image is of the rear of the SUV and from this image we can confirm that it is based on the Bigster concept due to those unique taillights. The SUV has a smaller rear windshield in the spy photos and you can also notice that there is a double bubble design on the rear wing mounted above the windshield. Thick roof rails can also be seen on top of the SUV.
When will it be released?
The Duster was the company’s first mass-market product in that country. The Duster was the first midsize SUV with a unibody design, creating a whole new market segment, later attracted and dominated by SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
An earlier report suggested that Renault is preparing to invest more than Rs 4 billion in India to launch the new CMF-B platform, which will pave the way for the arrival of other new cars, including the next generation Duster. It has also been reported that the purported Duster replacement could hit the Indian market between 2024 and 2025.
