New Delhi / Mumbai. Designer Aniksha was arrested by Mumbai police on Thursday for allegedly giving a Rs 1 crore bribe to Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. On the other hand, the accused Aniksha Jaisinghani has now been sent into police custody until March 21.

We reported that Amruta Fadnavis had filed a complaint against the Mumbai-based designer after receiving threatening calls and messages on her phone. At the same time, Amruta Fadnavis herself accused Aniksha of trying to bribe her with a million rupees.
Aniksha’s father has also been named in the FIR filed at the Malabar Hill Police Station. The police have registered an FIR against Aniksha and his father under section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
