San Francisco: Mozilla Firefox search engine has brought one of the best features for its users. Mozilla has released a new feature for Android and has called it Total Cookie Protection (TCP). This feature will work to protect users from trackers. With its help, you will help stop ads that appear while browsing.
As reported by TechCrunch, this feature will prevent cross-site tracking by default. This will prevent trackers from collecting data about your browsing behavior for advertising purposes. TCP on Android has started rolling out to users and will be available to everyone by the end of next month.
TCP launched in 2021
In 2021, TCP was introduced, but it was only available in Firefox’s Advanced Tracking Protection Mode (ETP), so users manually selected that protection level to prevent cookie-based tracking.
Last year, the company made TCP available and turned it on by default in all modes of Firefox for Windows, Mac, and Linux, according to the report. Meanwhile, Mozilla has added three new extensions to its Android web browser to improve the browsing experience for its users.
These extensions include hiding a user’s email address when signing up for a website, removing follow-up items before sharing a URL, and listening to an article. The company said it plans to roll out the feature to all users and more sites later this year.
